Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited NP program.
• Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of practice
• National board certification (FNP, AGNP, or ACNP)
• Current DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Prior cardiology experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments with history and physicals.
• Evaluate and manage conditions such as CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and valvular disease.
• Order and interpret tests including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, imaging, and labs.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
• Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle changes, medication adherence, and preventive cardiology.
• Participate in hospital rounds and coordinate care transitions.
• Perform in-office procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with primary care and specialists for coordinated cardiovascular care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cardiology protocols.
