Job summary

Hired Piece is seeking a highly motivated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient cardiology team in sunny San Diego. The successful candidate will provide advanced cardiovascular care, perform exams, manage conditions, and collaborate with physicians.

The role requires California NP licensure, national certification (AANP/ANCC for NP or NCCPA for PA), BLS/ACLS, and 1–2 years of cardio experience; strong diagnostic and EMR skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current California NP licensure.
• National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP, NCCPA for PA).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 1–2 years of cardiology or related acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and cardiovascular evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage common and complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, labs).
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Provide follow-up care and monitor progress to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document clinical findings and treatment plans in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings.

  • Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in California.
  • National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP, NCCPA for PA).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in cardiology or a related acute care setting is preferred (new grads with strong clinical rotations in cardiology will be considered).
