AdventHealth West Florida is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant to join our cardiology team in Ocala, FL. The role focuses on outpatient cardiology care, supporting patients with cardiovascular conditions through diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.

Competenze

• Master of Science Physician Assistant studies.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a cardiology setting.

Mansioni

• Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care under physician supervision.
• Conduct physical exams, obtain medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions (e.g., hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure).
• Adjust pacemaker settings and interpret electrocardiograms.
• Supervise and interpret nuclear and treadmill stress tests.
• Provide post‑procedural follow‑up and anticoagulation therapy management.
• Assist with or independently perform minor in‑office procedures.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Participate in call coverage and occasional evening/weekend shifts as needed.
