KOPA, Inc. seeks a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for Avante at Jacksonville in Florida. You will diagnose, treat, and educate patients, while overseeing NP staff and coordinating care in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include exams, diagnostics, prescribing, and informing patients about health conditions. Travel to other Florida facilities may be required, with a collaborative, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Valid nurse practitioner license.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Experience in primary, acute and chronic care.
• Knowledge of health care regulations.
• Excellent communication and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and medical records.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications and manage therapy.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Educate patients and families on diseases and prevention.
• Oversee patient health and care coordination.
• Lead NP team meetings and supervise staff.
• Assist onboarding and training of new NPs.
