Job summary
Medical Clinic of Houston, L.L.P. seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner with cardiology specialization to join our team. You will provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for cardiac patients under physician supervision.
Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting tests, developing care plans, educating patients, and documenting in the Epic EMR. TX RN/NP licensure, ANCC/AANP certification, and DEA are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and NP program completed.
- Licensed as RN and NP in Texas; ANCC or AANP certification.
- Unrestricted Texas license to practice; DEA license.
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience; 2 years in Advanced Practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced cardiology care under physician supervision.
- Perform assessments, diagnoses and treatment planning for cardiac patients.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Prescribe medications per protocols and state regulations.
- Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with care team to coordinate patient care and quality outcomes.
