Qualifications

• Active Texas APRN license (Nurse Practitioner)
• MSN or DNP in Nursing from an accredited program
• Board certification as FNP-C or AGPCNP-BC
• Experience in cardiology or related field preferred
• Proficiency in interpreting EKGs and cardiovascular tests
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and patient education skills
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for cardiovascular conditions
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions with attending cardiologists
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs and lab work
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans and treatment protocols
• Prescribe medications and manage pharmacological therapies for cardiac patients
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, disease management, and preventive care
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, specialists, and ancillary staff
