Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care within an interdisciplinary team. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and follow up with adult patients, collaborating with physicians and other clinicians to implement evidence-based plans.

Texas licensure and prescriptive authority eligibility are required; a master's degree is preferred for PAs and NPs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the State of Texas (MSN/MS)
• Masters required for NP/PA role
• Specialties may include CRNA, CNM, CNS, CNP
• Licensed to practice professional nursing by the State of Texas with APRN status and prescriptive authority eligibility
• Certified by a recognized national certification in population foci and/or specialty beyond APRN
• Two years clinical experience preferred in cardiovascular diseases/cardiology
• BLS and ACLS or PALS or NRP certification required within one year of employment
• Active DEA licensure eligibility

Responsibilities

• Provide health promotion, diagnosis, and management within an interdisciplinary team
• Prescribe medications within approved protocols and scope of practice
• Conduct thorough medical histories and physical exams; order and interpret tests
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care
• Ensure documentation, billing, and compliance with policies
