Job summary

BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Coordinator to join the Heart and Vascular Administration team. The role focuses on coordinating care across the continuum, preparing patients for procedures, and educating families in collaboration with clinicians.

Minimum nursing education is a Diploma/Associate's; ADN candidates can apply if willing to pursue BSN. Positions support multiple campuses with potential telework options after orientation.

Qualifications

• Direct Cardiology or Critical Care experience - 3 years minimum.
• ADN candidates may apply but must pursue BSN.
• RN licensure required.
• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Coordinates the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care governed by evidence‑based clinical practice.
• Monitors care and data to optimize patient outcomes.
• Facilitate the education of patients and families. Acts as a resource to the health care team.
• Ensures actions meet and support the overall goals of the business.

Role Purpose

Coordinates the health care of select patient populations/designated service across the continuum of care. Responsible for coordination of patient contact, patient education, prepares patient/family for procedure/test in collaboration with the healthcare team.
