Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to deliver Veteran-centered, evidence-based cardiovascular care within the Cardiology Service. You will work with cardiologists and the heart care team to manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, develop care plans, and promote heart-healthy lifestyles.

Licensure and national certification are required; 3-5 years of cardiology experience preferred. Monday–Friday schedule with VA Total Rewards benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed independent practitioner with national certification.
• Experience managing cardiovascular conditions in adults.
• Careful adherence to clinical guidelines and scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages a panel of Veterans with cardiovascular conditions.
• Performs comprehensive cardiac assessments and develops care plans.
• Orders and interprets cardiac tests (EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests).
• Collaborates with cardiologists and heart care team to improve outcomes.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, adherence, and lifestyle.
