White Oak Medical Center within Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Nurse Practitioner for Cardiology to extend care across physical, mental, and spiritual healing. You will screen patients, develop treatment plans, educate on prevention, and assist in policy development. Requires Maryland ARNP licensure, board certification, and BLS/ACLS; per diem 10-hour shifts.

Per diem rate is $73/hour. Benefits include nonrotating shifts, parking, EAP, and a 403(b) plan.

Formación

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing required.
• Licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
• National Board Certification.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Active American Heart Association Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred.
• Eligible for Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license.
• DEA license is not required but preferred.
• Cardiovascular Experience highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform initial patient screenings and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases.
• Educate and guide patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Assist medical providers in development, implementation and periodic review of health care policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination.
• Ensure the confidentiality of all patients’, company and other relevant information under HIPPA guidelines.
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients.
