Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care in both outpatient and inpatient cardiology settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, emergent information sharing, and prescribing meds within scope.

The position supports a growing cardiology institute with adaptable teams and ongoing professional development. Shift: 4-10 hour shifts, one weekend per month, no night call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master's program.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligible to be certified National Board Certification as an APRN through AACN or ANCC.
• 3+ years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiology
• Experience in cardiology preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting in collaboration with physician.
• Identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleague.
• Prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic and corrective measures within scope of practice.
• Be part of a rapidly growing institute with adaptability in cardiology
