Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide direct care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient cardiology settings, in collaboration with physicians. This role emphasizes timely communication and diagnostic assessment, with opportunities to contribute to a rapidly growing institute.

The position features 4-10 hour shifts, one weekend per month, and no night call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an APRN in Connecticut.
• Certification or eligible to be certified as APRN through AACN or ANCC.
• 3+ years of clinical experience (e.g., cardiology) required.
• Experience in cardiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to in outpatient and inpatient cardiology settings in collaboration with physicians.
• Identify diagnostic information and communicate timely to physician colleagues.
• Prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic measures per scope of practice.
• Contribute to a rapidly growing institute with adaptability.
