Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide direct care to patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting in collaboration with a physician. Must have ability to identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleague.

The provider should prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic measures within the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice and collaborate with a licensed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
• Certification or eligible to be certified National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC.
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical area (such as cardiology) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients in outpatient and inpatient settings in collaboration with a physician.
• Prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic measures within scope of practice.
• Shift: 4-10 hour shifts, one weekend per month, no night call.
