Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide direct cardiology care in outpatient and inpatient settings in collaboration with a physician. The role supports emergent diagnostic processes and timely communication with the physician team.

The provider will prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic measures, with a passion for cardiology and adaptability within a rapidly growing institute.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligible to be certified National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC.
• 3+ years of experience in a clinical area (such as cardiology) required
• Experience in cardiology preferred

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant will provide direct care to patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting in collaboration with physician.
• Must have ability to identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleague.
• Prescribe, dispense and administer therapeutic and corrective measures in collaboration with a licensed physician; demonstrate passion for cardiology and adaptability.
