Job summary

Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs seeks a Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to guide patients through the full cardiology care journey, from clinic visits to catheterization lab and inpatient rounds.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in interventional procedures, educate patients and families, and help optimize cardiovascular outcomes in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active PA license (Colorado) or NP license in Colorado.
• PA-C certification (NCCPA) or NP board certification.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• ACLS from American Heart Association.
• Prescriptive Authority (RXN) in Colorado, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person patient care during cardiology clinic hours and elective interventional schedules.
• Cover inpatient consults and rounds as needed.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education.
