Job description

Seeking BE/BC Non-invasive Cardiologist in Myrtle Beach

Due to increased patient demand in the Myrtle Beach area, we are seeking a Board Eligible/Certified Non-invasive Cardiologist.

Position Details

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday
• 4.5 days clinic time with 0.5-day administrative time per week
• 36 patient contact hours per week

Workload and Team

• Approximately 24 patients per day
• Team of 4 APPs, with a 5th being hired
• 1:6 Cardiology call rotation

Practice Scope

• General and Interventional Practice
• Consult service only; hospitalists manage admissions
• Affiliated with Duke Health Network (DNH)
• Hospital has 2 Cath labs performing around 500 cases annually
• Approximately 10 patients referred for open heart procedures monthly and 2-3 STEMIs weekly
• No cardiothoracic surgery at the medical center

Imaging and Procedures

• Comprehensive cardiac imaging including TTE/TEE, SPECT MPI, CCTA with a new 256-slice CT scanner
• Invasive/interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterization with PCI, pacemaker (conventional and leadless), ICD, CRT implantations
• Full cardiac device clinic with dedicated technician
• Peripheral lab with DSA, peripheral venous, and PE interventions
