Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a medical assisting program preferred.
• Six months of healthcare experience required.
• One year of healthcare/medical office experience preferred.
• One year of medical terminology experience required.
• Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard required.
• BLS certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for procedures.
• Assist with patient flow and basic clinical support.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays.
