Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for Liberty Cardiology in Liberty Township, OH. The role supports clerical and clinical tasks and ensures smooth patient flow during day shifts.

You will assist physicians with examinations, document vital signs, update medical histories, manage EMR records, and help with scheduling and pre-certifications. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of prior medical office experience.
• Excellent computer skills with Outlook, Excel, EMR and scheduling systems.
• BLS certification required.
• Able to travel to other physician offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow during clinic hours.
• Document review of systems and record vital signs; update medical history and medications at each visit.
• Correctly record patient information in the EMR.
• Prepare and review EMR charts with scans and test results; ensure necessary records are present.
• Refill medications and pre-authorize as needed; manage samples and dispose expired meds.
• Assist with scheduling, check-in/check-out, and pre-certifications for procedures.
