Job summary

Baptist Health in Somerset, KY seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic and support clinical operations on-site. You will take vitals, collect histories, reconcile medications, and assist with EPIC workflows to ensure smooth patient flow.

Role may involve performing EKGs, lab tests, injections, or phlebotomy after completing clinical competency and orientation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to support providers.

Qualifications

• Must have direct patient care experience in a clinical setting.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or MA training with hands-on patient care.
• Successful completion of MA orientation and clinical competency assessment.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and reconcile medications for patients.
• Collect patient history and document medications and procedures.
• Manage EPIC and assist with scheduling and prior authorizations.
• Coordinate tests/procedures and support clinical workflow.
• May perform EKGs, lab tests, injections, and phlebotomy after competency.
