Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group Cardiology in Somerset, KY seeks a Medical Assistant to deliver direct patient care in an outpatient clinic. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program with hands-on patient experience required.
• Clinical competency assessment and MA orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting patient history, and facilitating patient flow.
• Managing EPIC EMR, scheduling appointments, handling prior authorizations, and coordinating tests and procedures.
• Performing EKGs, lab tests, injections, and phlebotomy after competency is achieved.
