Hartford HealthCare Norwich location is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support within the Medical Assistant scope. You will receive ongoing training in all MA responsibilities and float as needed to support multiple offices.

The role includes direct patient care under providers’ direction, point-of-care testing, and administrative duties. A diploma or CT certification and BLS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire date.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• One year of direct patient care experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care under provider supervision (vitals, history, screenings, health maintenance, etc.).
• Conduct point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Support administrative tasks: scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations.
