Job summary

Sentara Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant-non-certified. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a start time around 7:45am and a finish near 4:45pm.

The position includes patient care as well as administrative tasks under supervision of licensed clinicians. Requirements include at least one year of clinical/administrative experience, phlebotomy experience preferred, and certification within nine months of hire in CCMA, CMA, RMA or EMT.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical/administrative experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Certification must be received within nine months of employment in CCMA, CMA, RMA or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and administrative and clerical tasks as delegated by physicians, NP/PA, RN or LPN.
• Supports clinical workflows and maintains accuracy of patient information.
• Adheres to training, education and competency evaluations.
