Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Thibodaux, LA, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our cardiovascular practice. This role offers growth toward a Team Leader position in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

You will triage patients, document care, perform blood draws, assist physicians, educate patients, and coordinate care across teams using EMR. BLS is required; ACLS a plus. Louisiana LPN license required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS is a plus.
• Experience with triage, documentation, blood draws, and patient education preferred.
• Strong communication and EMR proficiency required.

Responsabilités

• Triage patients and assess emergencies; document meds, allergies, vitals, history.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation (wait times, chart notes, calls).
• Assist physicians in exam rooms; review orders; support procedures.
• Coordinate patient care through EMR messaging and teamwork.
• Perform venipuncture, Coumadin clinic support, and pacemaker/defibrillator checks as needed.
• Educate patients about diagnostic procedures and care plans.
• Handle calls from patients/pharmacies; coordinate with home health and other providers.
• Complete forms (home health requests, FMLA, disability statements).
• Assist with insurance pre-certifications and clinic safety checks.
