Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Coos Bay is seeking a BE/BC Cardiologist to join their expanding team. This role offers a supportive practice environment with an average of 10 to 15 patients, alongside NP/PA support. The ideal candidate will be involved in both inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, interpreting diagnostic tests and collaborating with various medical specialties. Outreach to nearby hospitals is preferred, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Job description

BE/BC Cardiologist, Non-invasive

Qualifications: Nuclear and Echo certified strongly preferred.

Opportunity: Opening due to growth and expansion of services with a large primary care and community referral base.

Practice Environment: Average 10 to 15 patients, with NP/PA support, in a low-stress, engaging environment. Customized orientation tailored to your skills. Willingness to provide outreach services to nearby critical access hospitals is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide cardiology services in inpatient and outpatient settings, including evaluation and management.
  2. Interpret EKG, Echocardiography, Cardiac Nuclear Imaging, stress Echocardiography, Holter/event monitors, and perform Cardioversion and Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
  3. Review and sign treatment plans for cardiac rehab patients.
  4. Collaborate with other medical specialties to meet care standards at Bay Area Hospital and the Prefontaine Cardiovascular Clinic.
  5. Examine, diagnose, and treat cardiac disease processes.
  6. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests according to established standards.
  7. Conduct patient examinations, gather medical histories, and review pertinent records.
  8. Utilize risk calculators and stay informed on new studies, technology, and medications.
  9. Determine diagnosis and therapeutic plans based on data interpretation.
  10. Administer medications and perform procedures in compliance with state laws and guidelines.
  11. Educate patients and families about medications and treatments.
