Coos Bay, Oregon, Cardiologist Job

Clinical Role:

  1. Non-invasive Cardiologist responsible for providing cardiology services in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  2. Clinic rotation: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, sharing an Echo call rotation including weekend readings.
  3. Evaluation and management services, interpretation of EKG, Echocardiography, Cardiac Nuclear Imaging, stress Echocardiography, Holter/event monitor, reviewing and signing treatment plans for cardiac rehab patients, performing and interpreting Cardioversion and Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE). Collaborates with other medical specialties to meet care standards.
  4. Examines, diagnoses, and treats cardiac diseases broadly.
  5. Interprets echocardiograms, stress tests, electrocardiograms, TEE, and cardiac monitors following diagnostic standards.
  6. Performs patient examinations, gathers medical history, subjective and objective findings.
  7. Utilizes risk calculators, stays updated with new studies, technology, and medications beneficial to patients.
  8. Determines diagnosis and therapeutic plans based on data interpretation.
  9. Administers prescribed medications, adhering to state laws and practice guidelines.
  10. Orders and performs appropriate medical procedures within legal and practice boundaries.
  11. Educates patients and families on medications and treatments, health, illness prevention, and community resources.
  12. Maintains accurate patient records and documents all care in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance for billing.
  13. Triages patient calls, providing consultation as needed.
  14. May perform additional duties of similar complexity as required.
  15. Participates in meetings and policy formation for Prefontaine cardiology clinic.
  16. Remains current with CME, maintains licenses and certifications, and complies with organizational requirements.
  17. Communicates effectively with colleagues, patients, and administration.
  18. Maintains professional growth and attendance standards.
  19. Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates; not accepting Locums.
