Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider Manager for the Inpatient Cardiology service at UMass Memorial Medical Center. The role blends direct patient care with administrative leadership, guiding staffing, protocols, and performance within a collaborative cardiovascular team.

The position requires a Master’s in Nursing or PA/NP credentialing with MA licensure, plus 5+ years clinical experience and 2+ years in leadership or education roles.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or graduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current Massachusetts licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, including controlled substance authorization.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience.
• Minimum of two additional years of experience in a management, leadership, or clinical education role preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inpatient clinical services and support APP performance.
• Oversee provider scheduling and staff development; ensure coverage.
• Develop clinical protocols and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and leadership to grow inpatient cardiology services.
