Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as Outpatient Cardiology APP Manager. This blended role combines direct patient care (about 60%) with administrative, operational, and leadership responsibilities (about 40%).

You will oversee scheduling, staff development, and clinical coverage while shaping evidence-based guidelines and patient care protocols.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or graduate degree in PA studies
• Massachusetts licensure and certification as NP or PA with controlled substance authorization
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience
• Minimum of two years in management/leadership/clinical education
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Split time roughly 60% direct clinical care and 40% administrative, operational and leadership duties
• Oversee provider scheduling and staff development within outpatient cardiology
• Develop and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines and care pathways
• Evaluate outcomes, identify quality improvement opportunities and support research
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses and other professionals to optimize care coordination
