Job summary

Riverview Health seeks a Staff Nurse for Cardiology and Infusion Services. You will provide direct nursing care to pre-operative and post-procedure patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, and Infusion areas, coordinating with the care team.

The role requires an Indiana RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications, with minimum education of an Associate Degree in Nursing and preferred BSN. You will work in a hospital setting focused on cardiology and infusion services.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Active Indiana RN license and ACLS/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preoperative care, recovery and discharge for outpatients with accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Perform nursing procedures including IV starts/restarts, phlebotomy, and administer meds per physician orders.
• Assist in imaging and cardiology procedures as needed and ensure patient safety in chemotherapy settings.
• Develop and modify a written plan of care, reassess patient progress and delegate tasks within scope of practice.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and care teams clearly and promptly.
• Provide patient/family discharge education and may precept new staff.
