Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic EKG knowledge and recognition of common rhythms.
• Certification: BLS within orientation period; EKG Technician certification recommended.
• 3 months of on-the-job training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs per departmental protocols.
• Manage TracemasterVue for charges, EKG assignment, dictation transcription, and downloads.
• File, fax, chart, and transcribe cardiology reports; distribute reports.
• Hook up and discontinue Holter monitors per protocol.
• Maintain EKG, Echo, Holter logs and related reports.
• Respond to CPRs and coordinate care with teams.
