Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an entry-level Cardiology Diagnostic Technician I to perform 12-lead EKGs and Holter monitor applications for inpatient and outpatient exams. You will process and transmit data to the designated software, ensure exams are ready for physician interpretation, and handle related paperwork.

The role collaborates with the patient care team and requires basic computer skills and clear communication to support safe, high-quality cardiac testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Six months of basic EKG and/or Holter monitor experience highly preferred.
• EKG HM- Houston Methodist Electrocardiogram Course to be completed within 6 months.
• BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) certification required.
• Must obtain one of: CET/CCI certifications or similar within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic 12-lead EKGs and Holter monitor exams.
• Transmits EKG and Holter data to designated software.
• Prepares exams for physician interpretation and completes related paperwork.
• Collaborates with the patient care team to ensure timely and accurate testing.
