Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Echo Technologist for our Cardiology Unit to perform echocardiograms for pediatric and adult patients with ICAEL and ACC/AHA guidance. You will review orders, prepare patients, and assist with stress tests and EKGs.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred RDMS certification within a year and 1 year of scanning experience. On-call rotating schedule applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred.
• RDMS certification within one year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive physicians orders and review electronic medical records for relevant history.
• Prepare patients and transport as needed; provide safe, compassionate patient care.
• Perform echocardiograms for pediatric and adult patients; follow ICAEL, ACC/AHA standards.
• Assess wall motion, valve function, chamber size; notify cardiologist of critical results.
• Assist with stress tests and EKGs; participate in equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Take rotating on-call shifts and ensure correct study charges.
