Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Echo Technologist for the Cardiology Unit. The role involves performing echocardiograms and reviewing orders to ensure accurate patient care and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred.
• 1 year scanning experience preferred.
• RDMS certification within one year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive physician orders and review EMR for history.
• Prepare patients for procedures considering their physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs.
• Perform echocardiograms for pediatric and adult patients per protocol and standards.
• Examine the heart from appropriate views and notify cardiologist of critical results.
• Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment; report malfunctions.
• Ensure patient charges are accurate and orders are correct for all studies.
• Assist with stress tests and EKGs as needed.
• Take call on rotating schedule.
