Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services seeks a Registered Sonographer to join the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory. You will perform echocardiographic studies on adult patients, including M-Mode, 2D, contrast, Doppler, stress, dobutamine, and transesophageal procedures as assigned.

The role emphasizes support of departmental goals, high-quality imaging, and ongoing professional development in cardiac sonography. On-site schedule includes weekdays with rotating weekends and on-call as required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an allied health diagnostic program or training on the job specific to echocardiography.
• Registration as a RDCS or RCS within 1 year of hire or required at hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of electrocardiography, arrhythmias, and conduction disturbances.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and basic clerical activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic procedures on adult patients in the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory, including M-Mode, 2D, contrast, Doppler, stress, and transesophageal echocardiography.
• Support departmental goals and assist with quality improvement in imaging.
• Operate computerized echocardiographic equipment and ensure proper setup and artifact recognition.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac sonography advancements through continuing education.
• Assist with emergent situations and provide patient-centered care.
