Qualifications

• Ability to problem-solve and communicate professionally with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Verify and analyze medical records and encounter forms to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes and modifiers per CMS and Munson guidelines.
• Serve as liaison between CBO and sites; train new employees in coding and charge capture.
• Review charges for ICD-9/10-CM, CPT and HCPCS modifier accuracy and 95% accuracy targets.
• Identify educational and compliance needs; resolve coding discrepancies with revenue capture teams.
