Job summary

UMass Memorial Health's Upton Cardiology unit seeks a Certified Medical Assistant II to support clinical and clerical functions on-site in Upton, MA. You will perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and patient assessments while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification from the American Heart Association.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health.
• Experience with clinical procedures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care tests.
• Administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assist with routine physical examinations and clinic procedures.
• Review lab results and escalate abnormalities.
• Maintain supplies and patient records in EMR.
