Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond, VA, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Reynolds Cardiology team. You will work with the primary care physician to review charts, measure vital signs, prepare exam rooms and ensure accurate health records within state guidelines.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, coordinating with staff, and performing clerical duties while upholding our patient‑centered care standards.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Active CMA/MA certification from recognized bodies; ABR-OE acceptable where MA certification is not available.
• BLS certification required at hire or preferred.
• 1 year of medical assistant or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service in a respectful manner.
• Review and update patient charts ensuring all results and reports are correct and up to date.
• Measure vital signs including pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight and height.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with examinations as directed by the physician.
• Handle clerical duties such as inventory, referrals, and phone coverage; troubleshoot issues as needed.
