Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified RN/APRN to join the cardiology team in Oak Lawn, IL. The role involves inpatient rounding, outpatient clinics, and weekend coverage as part of a 40-hour week.

Must hold a Master's in Nursing with active RN license in Illinois, national certification, and DEA registration. BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by practice will be completed within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois and APRN/APRN-FA/APNP or equivalent.
• Active national board certification in area of clinical practice.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (Illinois practice).
• Basic Life Support and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans appropriate for age and condition.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and therapies.
• Provide health promotion and disease management counseling to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and refer as needed.
• Document accurately in the EMR and ensure compliant coding.
