Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• BLS Certification required with Advanced Life Support training at department discretion.
• Acute care or cardiology experience preferred; eligible new graduates considered.
• ACNP preferred, but FNPs will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for cardiology patients in inpatient and immediate post-discharge ambulatory settings.
• Completes daily rounds; conducts pre-procedure evaluations and orders additional tests as appropriate.
• Documents plan of care and communicates results to the clinical team.
• Collaborates with cardiology faculty and staff to ensure evidence-based management.
• Develops discharge planning and follow-up pathways and provides patient education.
