Job summary

East Hawaii Medical Group is seeking physicians to join our team on the Big Island of Hawaii. This clinical role emphasizes cardiovascular health education, comprehensive patient assessments, and collaborative care within a large, supportive provider group.

You will work closely with hospital partners to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a beautiful island setting with work-life balance and community engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in the specialty.
• Ability to provide cardiovascular patient education.
• Experience documenting in an EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, medication management, and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the EMR.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history-taking and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for coordinated patient care.
• Document encounters and follow-up recommendations in the EHR.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, medication management, and preventive measures to promote heart health and reduce cardiovascular risk.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations in the electronic medical record system.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
