Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Cardiology Service seeks a board-certified cardiologist to provide comprehensive clinical care within a busy center. You will supervise APPs, guide residents and students, and participate in CQI initiatives.

Inpatient, ICU rounds, and emergency duty form part of the duties. ACLS/BLS must be current; on-call coverage may be required. Competitive federal package with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be board certified in Internal Medicine with cardiovascular subspecialties.
• Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• ACGME/AOA accredited residency in cardiology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for cardiology patients and supervise APPs.
• Oversee daily operations of Cardiology Services and training for residents.
• Participate in CQI programs and emergency/ICU rounding as assigned.
• Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications; respond to codes as needed.
