Job summary

Memorial Health System in Springfield, IL is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist First Assist. You will perform scrub and first assistant duties for scheduled surgeries in the CVOR and assist with draping and instrument utilization.

Must be knowledgeable in sterile technique and sterilization procedures. The role requires completion of a surgical technologist program (two-year) and a first assist program, plus BLS CPR and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of two-year Surgical Technologist Program preferred.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist First Assist Program.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Certification as a surgical technologist and first assist is preferred.
• BLS CPR required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a cardiothoracic senior surgical technologist or equivalent.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills; flexible to change.
