Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Tech to join the Lubbock Heart team. This PRN with on-call position focuses on patient positioning, equipment adjustment, and strict adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.

The role requires completing an accredited registry course or holding licensure/certification eligibility, with RDMS preferred, supporting high-quality imaging across modalities.

Qualifications

• Has completed an accredited course for national and/or state registry or has licensure/certification eligibility through experience.
• RDMS preferred

Responsibilities

• Report to work and remain at the workstation until relieved for lunch or end of shift.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for each procedure.
• Follow prescribed safety standards.
• Follow confidentiality standards.
• On-call standby; respond promptly to pages and report within twenty-five minutes.
• Scrub uniforms clean and pressed; wear while on duty as directed.
• Prepare and coordinate study orders with the physician or supervise, and verify orders.
• Check patient armband for proper identification.
