Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Tech to join the team in a PRN with on-call capacity. The role emphasizes precise imaging, patient instruction, and strict adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited registry course or licensure eligibility, with RDMS preferred and current BLS certification. This position offers a flexible, on-site work arrangement and potential for advancement within the LHSH system.

Qualifications

• Has completed an accredited course for national and/or state registry or licensure eligibility.
• RDMS is preferred.
• Maintains current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Report to work station on time and remain at station until relieved for lunch or end of shift.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for each procedure.
• Instruct patient regarding procedures.
• Follow prescribed safety standards.
• Maintain examination rooms.
• Follow confidentiality standards.
• Participate in standby for modalities assigned and scheduled; on-call duties as required.
• Scrub uniforms, clean and pressed, while on duty.
• Complete forms for each study and coordinate with requesting physician.
• Check patient identification and orders before exam.
• Follow LHSH policies for time, attendance, and inventories.
• Report mechanical or system problems promptly.
• Demonstrate professional demeanor with staff, patients and physicians.
