Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Echo/PV Sonographer to join our Lubbock Heart team. The role requires completion of an accredited ultrasound program with RDMS/RDCS and RVT registrations where required.

Position patients, adjust equipment for each procedure, and follow safety and confidentiality standards. Maintain licensure and follow hospital policies. This is a full-time day shift with PRN on-call and opportunities for advancement within a hospital family atmosphere.

Qualifications

Successful completion of an accredited course for national and/or state registry.
RDMS or RDCS registration is required for performing general ultrasound and echocardiograms without the direct supervision of a registered technologist.
RVT is required to perform vascular studies without the direct supervision of a registered technologist.

Responsibilities

Position patients and adjust equipment for each procedure.
Report to workstation on time and remain at workstation until relieved for lunch or end of shift.
Follow prescribed safety standards and confidentiality requirements.
Complete all necessary forms for each study and coordinate with the physician.
Maintain licensure/certifications for all modalities assigned.
Report mechanical or system problems to the Director or Clinic Administrator.
