Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program (NCCPA approved).
• Active and unrestricted NJ state licensure.
• Active ACLS certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as cardiac/vascular surgical first assistant or in surgical critical care.
• AHA ACLS-Adv Cardiac Life Support proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the surgeon, surgical intensivist and care team to perform safe cardiac/vascular procedures.
• Delivers quality perioperative care to patients on the general floor and in the surgical ICU.
• Acts as patient advocate and provides health education to patients and families.
