Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state; Current BLS.
• Previous experience in general duty nursing preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
• Initiates and implements patient care plan.
• Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.
• Maintains acceptable standards of patient care and documentation.
• Participates in infection-control and safety programs.
