Qualifications

• Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college.
• Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS, or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for cardiac specialties.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized or general ultrasound procedures according to established departmental protocols.
• Performs ultrasound procedures for Cardiac Ultrasound and other areas as required.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and records images, including in the Operating Room and ICU and off-site locations.
• Uses Epic to schedule and complete exams and completes preliminary reports in Epic.
• Serves as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students.
