Job summary

Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR is seeking an Echocardiograph Technologist for per-diem day shifts. You will perform cardiac ultrasound examinations under physician orders using advanced equipment and provide accurate assessments of cardiac structure and function.

Role includes assisting with invasive echo procedures, adapting to special circumstances, and contributing to a patient-centered care culture across Providence's Pacific Northwest network.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Oregon Sonographer license upon hire.
• Must hold one of the following credentials upon hire: NRCS (CCI), NACC (CCI), NRDCS (ARDMS).
• Must have BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.
• Preferred: AS degree in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• 1 year of cardiovascular ultrasound experience preferred.
• Minimum of 800 exams performed.
• Pediatric echocardiography experience preferred.
• Familiarity with imaging support for advanced heart failure patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician orders.
• Identify presence or absence of disease through anatomical and physiological knowledge.
• Assist with invasive echocardiography procedures (e.g., TEE, echo-guided procedures) and related interventions.
• Modify procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information.

National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International

National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International

National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Associate's Degree in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography

1 year cardiovascular ultrasound experience

Minimum of 800 exams performed

Pediatric echocardiography experience

Experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures
