CARDIOVASCULAR CENTER OF FLORDIA in Orlando, FL is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Diagnostics team. The role involves performing non-invasive cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures to support physicians in diagnosis and treatment.

You will monitor patients, maintain aseptic technique, assist with interventional procedures in the cath lab, and prepare detailed reports.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation methods related to cardiology.
  • Familiarity with interventional cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization.
  • Ability to monitor vital signs and maintain aseptic technique during invasive procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive cardiovascular ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and stress tests.
  • Assist with interventional radiology procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, ensuring imaging support during interventions.
  • Monitor vital signs and physiological data throughout procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain strict aseptic technique standards in cath lab or other high-acuity settings.
  • Interpret initial ultrasound images and prepare detailed reports for physician review.
  • Collaborate with medical team to evaluate patient conditions using sonography and telemetry data.
  • Ensure equipment calibration and safety compliance in the lab.

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our expanding cardiovascular practice. This role is ideal for an experienced sonographer who is passionate about delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of non-invasive cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, exceptional patient care abilities, and a commitment to clinical excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive cardiovascular ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and stress tests to assess cardiac function and anatomy.
  • Assist with interventional radiology procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, ensuring optimal imaging support during interventions.
  • Monitor vital signs and physiological data throughout procedures to ensure patient safety and procedural accuracy.
  • Maintain strict aseptic technique standards to prevent infection during invasive or semi-invasive procedures within the cath lab or other specialized areas.
  • Interpret initial ultrasound images and prepare detailed reports for review by physicians, supporting diagnostic evaluation processes.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to evaluate patient conditions using sonography, telemetry data, and clinical observations.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and used in accordance with safety protocols at a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment.

Requirements
  • Proven experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound procedures with proficiency in sonography techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation methods related to cardiology.
  • Familiarity with interventional cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology techniques.
  • Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and implement aseptic techniques during invasive procedures.
  • Prior experience working in a cath lab or Level II trauma center environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of telemetry monitoring systems and emergency medicine protocols for rapid response situations.
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent credential preferred; ongoing education in interventional radiology or cardiology is advantageous.   • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods.
