Job summary

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound professional to perform comprehensive ultrasound studies, including 2D, Doppler, and transesophageal exams for adult patients. RDCS or RCS credentials and other ARDMS certifications are required, with potential mentorship of students.

The role supports instruction of medical personnel in technical performance and cardiac pathology, and contributes to a team-focused Echo department at Farmington Hills Hospital.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal as gained at student level. Required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA/ARC Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - Cardiac 1 Year required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations including two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; transesophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
• Mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students while teaching technical performance and clinical application.
